The distillery is the largest private employer on Islay with around sixty jobs, as it also has the island's only bottling hall.
Simon Coughlin, CEO and founding member of Bruichladdich was in a previous life a wine merchant.
Allan Logan started at Bruichladdich as a mashman in 2001 and is now our Distillery Manager.
Adam Hannett worked with Jim McEwan for many years, patiently learning the craft. Following Jim's retirement, he has taken over as Head Distiller.

History
Modern History
Some key dates in the distillery's recent history which has seen many successful years of innovation, and growth;
1994-2000: distillery was closed
2000 - Bruichladdich distillery was purchased by a group of private investors led by Mark Reynier of Murray McDavid in 2000, with Jim McEwan, who had worked at Bowmore Distillery hired as master distiller and production director.

2012-present: Rémy Cointreau reached an agreement with Bruichladdich to buy the distillery for a sum of £58m
