The Scotch Malt Whisky Society

Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) selects single casks of unusual malt whisky, bottles them at cask strength and offers them for sale to members.

Established in 1983, the society has its base in Leith, the port of Edinburgh, Scotland. The unique premises includes a members room, nosing room and flats that members can rent for short stays. A second location in Edinburgh was opened, along with London in 1999. 

The SMWS has affiliated branches, run independently, in many countries around the world but they explore and enjoy unique bottling and the widest collection of rare single cask whiskies. 

Whisky Clubs 

These has been an explosion in the numbers of formal and informal malt whisky clubs. It is impossible to keep a full list, but we are keen to connect and share our passion for whisky/whiskey with all the members of whisky clubs around the world. 

Whisky Buys is a great way to get to know more people by sharing experiences of nosing and tasting the water of life.
