On this one hour tour you will be guided through one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries and will witness how our Craftsmen produce a whisky steeped in tradition. End the tour with a Dram of Bowmore whilst you enjoy the view over Loch Indaal. The tour includes a Bowmore glass to take home.

Hidden Depths Flavour Tasting

Discover why Bowmore is widely acknowledged to be among the finest and most perfectly balanced whiskies in the world. Sit back and relax with a Bowmore tasting session. Starting with “the heart of the run” you will explore Bowmore’s unique flavour profile.  During this laid back tasting you will try four different Bowmore expressions whilst your friendly guide chats to you about the flavours, colours and characters of the whisky.

Reinventing the Flavour Wheel Masterclass

Embark on a flavour journey. This highly interactive and in-depth masterclass takes you on a flavour journey. This is where we mix, whisky, science and imagination! Join a Bowmore guide for a tutored tasting where your sense of smell is put to the test, blind nose and taste four specially selected drams and create your very own unique tasting notes.

Bowmore Craftman's Tour

Go beyond just the process on a tour designed for the true Single Malt enthusiast. Our Craftsman’s tour was designed with the true single malt enthusiast in mind. This journey of discovery will take you from our traditional malting floors and peat fired kiln, through our beautiful copper clad distillery to our inner sanctum – Bowmore’s legendary number one vaults where you will enjoy special cask tasting. You will have plenty of time to ask questions and take in the sights and will end the experience with a relaxed whisky tasting in the visitor centre.

This tour is available Monday - Thursday by prior appointment only. Private bookings can also be made for an additional cost.

The Ultimate Bowmore Experience

The Laggan, The Lade, and The Legendary No.1 Vaults. Unlock Bowmore's hidden depths on this journey of discovery. Starting with a visit to our unique water source the Laggan River, you will learn the story of our cleverly designed and meandering water-way, the Bowmore Lade. You will then explore a distillery steeped in tradition and heritage, from our old fashioned floor malting's to our deep dark warehouse's there is a story behind every corner.

Includes a cask tasting in the Legendary No.1 vaults and a further tasting session in our visitor centre, complete with a delicious cheese board.
