Glen Garioch
Glen Garioch is located in Oldmeldrum, and is celebrated as ”The Granary of Aberdeenshire", famous for producing the finest barley in all of Scotland.
The Garioch — pronounced 'Geery' — is a tract of richly fertile land, where barley has been abundant for over a thousand years.
Glen Garioch has always favoured quality over quantity so rather than releasing a new batch on a whim, the distillery periodically selects individual casks to demonstrate the quality and breadth of the Glen Garioch spirit at the peak of perfection as a reward to its loyal followers.
It is operated by Morrison Bowmore Distillers, which is owned by the Japanese company Suntory.
