Glengoyne Distillery, north of Glasgow is unique in producing Highland single malt whisky while maturing casks of whisky rest in the Lowlands. 

In 2003, Ian Macleod Distillers acquired Glengoyne brands, meaning Ian Macleod became a fully integrated distiller, blender and bottler.
