Oban
Oban distillery was built before the town of the same name, producing a West Highland single malt whisky that falls between the dry, smoky style of the islands and the lighter, sweeter malts of the Highlands.
Founded in 1794, and owned by Diageo, Oban is primarily known for its 14 year old malt, which is marketed as part of Diageo's "Classic Malts" range.
Also available is a Distiller's Edition finished in a Montilla Fino sherry cask, an 18 year old and a rare 32 year old edition. More recently, Oban introduced a non age statement, called Oban Little Bay.
